Matthew 9:10-13
The Bible teaches that none are righteous before our Holy Creator (Rom. 3:10–20). All are sinners and are called to repent. Only through faith in Christ Jesus is salvation possible (1 Cor. 1:30–31; 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 3:9).
The truth is this: left to ourselves, we are unable to seek or desire God. Therefore, God (Himself) had to descend from heaven to rescue humanity. He came down to shine the light of His salvation…the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the glory of God revealed through His Son…by which the blinding veil of sin is removed (2 Cor. 4:4).
Because of Christ, nothing hinders God from coming to us, regardless of our background (our past) or status in this dark Babylonian world system, whether lepers, tax collectors, prostitutes, thieves, or anyone else.
He has come to save the lost, according to His sovereignty and divine purposes established before the world was created.
So challenge yourself with this question:
Have you believed in Jesus, the only answer to the true sickness in the human heart?
Will you, by faith, come to the Great Physician…the only One who has correctly diagnosed the illness of our spiritual condition and who alone can provide heaven’s prescription for complete healing?
